260 Scholarship "Keeping On Schooling" For Poor Students – March 12 2012

On March 7 2012, Tuoi Tre Newspaper coordinated with Quang Ngai Department of Education and Training, Quang Ngai Youth Union to give scholarships in 2012-2013 for 260 poor students.

The scholarships were given to poor students who had difficulty attending secondary and high school in Quang Ngai province.
Each scholarship worth VND 2.7 million (for high school students) and VND 1.8 million (for primary students).

The total value of this scholarship is VND 600 million, sponsored by Phat Dat Real Estate Company and Do Thanh Automobile Company. These are two company that have co-operated with Tuoi Tre Newspaper in many activities for the community.

“Keep on schooling” is a scholarship from 2008, against the situation of students in Quang Ngai, Nghe An and some provinces in the Mekong Delta drop out of school due to economic conditions. Tuoi Tre newspaper has set up a scholarship called “Keep on schooling”, gave 1,000 scholarships worth more than VND 3 billion high school and secondary students back to class.
