Phan Dinh Phung Sports Center was planned as a modern multi-functional sports complex designed to meet the needs of sports training, competitions, and community activities, while also supporting the hosting of national and regional sporting events.
In January 2026, the project site became part of Ho Chi Minh City's broader initiative to temporarily transform centrally located land parcels into public parks and green spaces. On January 25, 2026, after more than 20 days of construction, PDR officially handed over the Phan Dinh Phung Landscape Project to the Xuan Hoa Ward People's Committee for management and public use ahead of the Lunar New Year.
With a total investment of approximately VND 30 billion, the project carries particular significance in converting a centrally located but underutilized land parcel into a public space that enhances urban greenery in a high-density area. It creates immediate social value, rather than leaving the land idle during prolonged investment planning processes.
As the first developer to complete and hand over a project of this kind among similar initiatives across the city, PDR not only demonstrated its strong execution capabilities but also reaffirmed its pioneering role in supporting Ho Chi Minh City's urban renewal and sustainable development goals.
