At the project’s construction commencement ceremony on October 23, 2026, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, Vice Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, expressed his hope that Lotte Eco Smart City Thu Thiem would become a landmark for Thu Thiem, raising the city’s international profile and strengthening its appeal to investors. Realizing this vision will require more than impressive architecture. The project must also deliver high-quality spaces, practical functionality, and lasting economic and social benefits. 

Covering approximately 7.45 hectares, the project borders Thu Thiem’s central square and central lake and faces the Saigon River. It comprises six adjoining plots and is planned as a high-rise, mixed-use complex built to international standards, with a total investment of approximately VND 60 trillion.

With its prime location and scale, the project is expected to become a defining architectural feature of Thu Thiem’s skyline, complementing the riverfront and surrounding urban landscape. It will bring workplaces, shopping, and services together in one location, making the new urban center a more vibrant urban environment.

A mixed-use development that brings Thu Thiem to life 
At the heart of Lotte Eco Smart City Thu Thiem is an integrated mix of uses, including Grade A offices, retail and commercial spaces, accommodation, residences, and public amenities.

He expressed his hope that these principles would guide the project from design and construction through to operation. 

Ultimately, the project’s success will depend not only on its scale or architectural design, but also on how well it creates a comfortable, welcoming environment that fits naturally into the surrounding community.
